This listing is for young 3rd to 4th instar captive-bred Phidippus regius. They are stable and currently feeding very well on D. melanogaster or D. hydei fruit flies, even though their own mass is nearly the same at this stage. We cannot sex them as they haven’t nearly taken on their sexual colorations or characters yet.

The regal jumping spider Phidippus regius is one of the most popular pet spiders in the arachnid hobby, which is mostly dominated by tarantulas, of course. These natives are one of the largest species in the US though these are young, small specimens.

The spiderlings that we are offering are immatures that hatched in late July 2024.

Note that photos on this page do not represent the young ones being offered in this listing. The pictures are of adults. Regal jumping spider immatures look different each time they molt, until they reach maturity. Adults that are born from the same egg sac will always reflect varied coloration that cannot be predicted by looking at the younger spiderlings.
