Scolopendra viridis

Out of stock

These are usually called Green Stripe centipedes, Scolopendra viridis, and they are uncommonly offered. Bugguide lists 4 species in the genus Scolopendra in the US and this is the one I usually have the most difficulty sourcing besides S. heros. Available specimens measure about 1 inch long and probably mature at about 3 inches though data on the internet seems a little thin on this point. Photos can be found on Bugguide. Current color form is the paler Arizona form that is an orangey-brown and sometimes with a longitudinal stripe.
