The Scolopendra polymorpha California blue-leg tiger centipede is a regional color morph of the species. Unlike the ones in other parts of the SW, these have fairly standard body coloration, perhaps a bit on the pale side, but the legs are faintly blue. There is some variation in the way each one looks and specimens sold under this listing are offered with respect to their locality and average coloration as contrasting with what my experience perceives as “normal” tiger centipede coloration. How’s that for a disclaimer? 😉
These are venomous but not considered more painful than a bee sting.
Measuring at around 1.5 to 2.5 inches on average and grow to 4+.
