Description
Hamataliwa grisea is a common lynx spider species that ranges through the Southern USA and through to Northern South America. Lynx spiders don’t use web to capture their prey but instead use ambush and agility, like jumping spiders.
Note: We are 99% confident we have identified these correctly per a conversation with an expert on INaturalist but we do not guarantee that we have them correct, sorry.
They are small/young at this time, offered unsexed only, and feeding on fruit flies (they are larger than a fruit fly). We expect that they grow to have a leg span around the diameter of a dime to a nickel, based on photos on INaturalist.
Coloration varies as reflected here on INaturalist.
