Vietnamese Dead Leaf Mantis

Description

Deroplatys gorochovi is the Vietnamese Dead Leaf Mantis. Like other Deroplatys species, these are amazing dead leaf mimics and the triangular pronotum on this species accounts for about half the full length of the body. They could easily be mistaken for mushrooms in nature, and few casual observers would soon recognize them as a mantis.

L4/L5 or so nymphs/immatures, unsexed (have shed about 3 or 4 times). Currently feeding on house flies (see related products below). This species is not a very aggressive feeder which can be a little frustrating if you’re used to most other mantises that have a higher feeding response.
