Description
Dolomedes are a genus of very large spiders known as fishing spiders. This listing is for Dolomedes triton, the six-spotted fishing spider. These are perhaps the prettiest species of fishing spider in the US. No photo can do them justice with their semi-holographic green sheen under certain light/angles. They’re fast and aggressive towards small prey. We often see them at the edge of streams or ponds.
1/2 inch to 1 inch legspans on these immatures, currently. They mature out to about 3+ or so inches in legspan, and darken as they grow. $14 ea
