Phidippus audax CB Spiderling

Description

The bold jumping spider Phidippus audax is classic species and probably the most commonly noticed large jumping spider in the US.

Available as 4th to 5th instar spiderlings. Date of birth is 1/26/26 and they are sold unsexed as they are too young/small to identify as male or female. They are stable on D. melanogaster fruit flies as feeders.

No tarantula can compare with the antics of a jumping spider in terms of entertainment. Studies have been done documenting the “intelligence” of these spiders as they strategize their attacks on prey. You can almost see them thinking as they direct their large eyes back and forth, turning their bodies, to plan their next leap, and even their next series of leaps to their destination!
