Description
Dendrothereua homa is the Arizona House Centipede. These are similar in body shape to the more familiar non-native European house centipede, but are actually native to the SW USA.
These orange centipedes, often with yellow spots, are aggressive predators of their prey and use their venom and speed to subdue it. They can bite and I would only guess it would be similar to a bee sting in pain and duration, but buyer beware as data on them in scant.
One specimen per customer, sorry. We’ve never sold these before prior to 9/14/23.
Occasionally a leg or two is missing on these and we don’t guarantee perfect specimens on arrival because they drop legs very easily, but they are amazing in their ability to regenerate them through a single molt. Of course, overnight shipping is required for the live guarantee.
