Scotobaenus Darkling

Description

Scotobaenus is a genus of darkling beetles that are new to the site. They are roughly medium in size, about 3/4 of an inch long and have some texture on the abdomen (elytra). Their narrow shape and small heads set them apart from many of the other species of desert beetles on the site.

They are as arboreal as they are terrestrial!

We feed them fish food pellets, carrot and apple. They aren’t picky. Size varies a little bit.
