Phidippus purpuratus CB Spiderling

Description

Phidippus purpuratus is the Marbled Purple Jumping Spider. This species ranges across the Northern US states and into Canada. They are also found in pockets of the East, to Florida.

Captive-bred spiderlings were born 9/5/2025 and will be available in late November or the first half of December. Please get on the waiting list if you’d like to be notified when they are ready.

Coloration and patterning in this species is quite variable, with base colors ranging from light to dark gray, and charcoal to nearly black. White spots and lines appear in some individuals and a black band often runs the middle of the abdomen. Some individuals will reflect metallic greens or purples, lending the common name Marbled Purple Jumping Spider to the species.
