Description
Captive bred Phidippus ardens orange phase juveniles were born 7/10/25. These juvenile spiderlings are currently feeding on house flies but can also take small crickets or prey of similar size. We offer a suitable habitat kit in the links below with ventilation holes small enough to ensure your spider does not escape.
$19.99 each for captive-bred juvenile Phidippus ardens. The common name for this species is the Desert Red Jumping Spider. The mother of these juveniles was unusually orange, which we consider to be a favorable trait as jumping spiders go (red is more common than orange).
Please note that the mother is pictured on this page and her offspring may or may not grow to achieve that same coloration. They look different with each molt, as they grow towards adulthood. The father was black and red, as most males of the species are. We list the offspring in this way so that you have as much information about their lineage as we have. Their coloration will change from molt to molt, and is very unpredicatable until they are nearer to maturity, and so they presently all look the same in terms of coloration and patterning.
We cannot sex them as they haven’t taken on their sexual colorations or characters yet.
