Description
The genus Hierodula exhibits large mantises with a classic shape and all of them are great beginner’s species.
The species listed here is undescribed but is known as Hierodula sp. “Golden.” What’s particularly special about this species is that they throw a variety of colors as they grow, with adults being either green, brownish or sometimes rose gold. Not uncommonly they mature into a beautiful golden color, and sometimes with green on them too as the video below reflects.
L2/L3 or so nymphs/immatures (have shed one or 2 times). Currently feeding on D. hydei fruit flies (see related products below).
