Grapevine Beetle Larva 5 Pack
$19.99

Description
Pelidnota punctata is the Grapevine Beetle and these are cousin to the beautiful green Chrysina species beetles.
Offered here as a 5 pack of larva for $19.99 (limited time sale price). A larva is the immature grub stage. I’ll say it again…these are NOT adult beetles being sold through this listing (for those of you new to beetle keeping).
Care for them is the same as it is for the more familiar harlequin beetles. Offer them a compost substrate. Think “compost pile,” or that old pile of leaves in the corner of the yard or blown up against the fence at a local natural area. Just dig down and get some of the slightly moist composting material in such a pile, throw it in the freezer for a few days to kill any unwanted organisms in it, and you’re good to go. They will also eat up a mix of oak flake soil with dried leaves (see related products, below).
The care explained in the video below is the same as what we do for these grapevine beetle larvae (but I just haven’t made a video specifically for grapevine beetles, yet).
