Description

The Giant Asian Mantis Hierodula membranacea has a classic shape. They tend to be green, but are sometimes tan, and are as large as any popular hobby mantis gets. This is a great beginner’s species.

Available through this listing as approximately large MALE nymphs (nymphs means they are not mature with wings, yet). $22 each. Probably 2 or 3 more molts to maturity. Feeding or blue bottle flies or prey of similar size. Please note that antennae on this species are somewhat fragile and one or both are often shortened or missing on arrival. These will regenerate as the mantis molts. Please take this into consideration.
