Cloud Jumper Paraphidippus fartilis

Description

The Cloud Jumper Paraphidippus fartilis is the orchid mantis of the jumping spider hobby. Adult females of the species often display bright white coloration, with gray, black and sometimes orange markings. Adult males have a base color of black, often with a purplish or green metallic sheen and white spotting. Spiderlings and juveniles are white and gray and black and often a bit yellowish to some degree.

Available through this listing as juveniles (immatures), unsexed only, sorry, at $55 each. It’s one per person on this rarely offered species and if we could sex them, believe us we’d list them that way and sell the females for more money. Hopefully in late 2026 we can bring the price down to more reasonable levels, but for now we are working with a breeder to buy and resell them and so the prices will remain high because our price on each one is high.

Captive-bred juvenile cloud jumpers are now available! They are 6th to 7th instar and have been feeding on D. hydei fruit flies and so they are plenty stable on them. They are just starting to take house flies, as well (related products, below).

We do recommend slightly higher humidity for this species than for any other jumping spider we offer on this site.
