Description
Megasoma punctulatum (males only) on Bugguide.net is the US cousin to the giant Elephant Beetles that range from Mexico to South America. The specimen in the photo was from our first captive generation a few years ago and measures 40 millimeters. None of the ones sold through this listing will be super major males like that, sorry. Size varies and if you order multiples we will endeavor to give you various sizes but none of them will look like the captive-bred ones since these are wild caught males and the one in the photo is the largest captive-bred one we’ve ever produced.
MALES only available, as titled. They are adults with short lifespans but you’ve never seen one of these before and one of the coolest genera of beetles on Earth!
We offer them sweet liquids like watered down maple syrup or sweet, non-citrus fruit juices, or jelly, etc.
We do plan to make larvae available again this fall/winter as we are retaining the few females we found for breeding.

Really pretty beetle. Got one male for my desert terrarium – however he was pretty sluggish upon arrival and passed away a few days later.
