Pink Zebra Terrarium

Description

The Pink Zebra habitat kit is designed for desert species like blue death feigning beetles, darkling beetles and the tenebrionid sampler (see related products below). As with all our habitat kits, the components in the Pink Zebra kit are shipped together in a flat rate box, unassembled. This means that you will have to layer the sand and fully assemble/arrange the contents of the tank (of course, this is half the fun!). We currentlly offer this kit in four sizes and the amounts of sand and number of plants that we ship to you is based on the glass terrarium size you choose with the goal being that the plants bury in at about the halfway point. This keep the bugs from climbing them and escaping out of the terrarium. Keep in mind that some bugs can climb glass so if you’d like to go off-grid with this and choose other bugs from our site to house in this habitat, please be sure to ask us about your prospective pet and its glass-climbing abilities. Many bugs, believe it or not, cannot climb glass at all (and many CAN!).

These are very weighty products but we take care to keep our shipping rates in line with actual shipping costs. These kit products only ship by Priority Mail (a 2-3 day service, usually early to midweek), and ship separately from the live insects and other bugs we sell on this website. You must choose the Flat Rate Box shipping methods per the table below. Orders placed via standard priority mail or express mail will be cancelled. In some cases we can ship your bugs with these habitat kits, but unfortunately this is only possible with pre-approval via email and on a case by case basis per weather and other factors like what type of bug you are ordering.

The plants we ship with this kit are succelents based on current inventory at the time of ordering. We will make some effort to advise you of current plant availabilities at your request. At least one Lithops sp. “living stone” plant will ship with each order of 3 plants. A couple rocks and a small piece of dried cholla cactus as seen in the photo are also included.

The gray layer of sand atop the colored sand should be 3/4 to 1 inch thick to prevent active pets from digging to the point of blending the colored sand layers beneath. However, you may mix or layer the sand in any way you like.
