Description
The Hemiphileurus illatus lesser triceratops beetle is a the small cousin of the triceratops beetle, Phileurus truncatus. Like its larger cousin, H. illatus lives a couple years and is a protein feeder. It will eat other dead insects and even carrion.
Adults also relish some of the same jelly products and fruits as other rhino beetles but they crave a protein source and will tear other bugs apart to get it.
Order more than one and we’ll do our best to send a variety in sizes and/or horn-shaped specimens in an attempt to get you a one of each sex but no guarantees. Low in inventory, always. $12 each
They are known to live a couple years but no guarantees for these adults as remaining life span is never known.
