Griffin Mantis

Description

Polyspilota grifinnii get big and have a really interesting patterning and color scheme across their bodies. The wings have white spots on them like some Sphodromantis spp. but then tend to have a mottled coloration overall. The common name for this mantis is the Griffin Mantis–a mythical creature with characteristics of lions and eagles. This is sure to be a very popular species among keepers. They share the same genus with another hobby favorite–the Marbled Mantis (P. aeruginosa).
