Black Bee Assassin Bug

Description

These black Apiomerus longispinis are called black bee assassin bugs. They about 3/4 of an inch and are all available as adults. If you order two, and inventory allows, we’ll send one slightly larger than the other with hopes that you get a sexed pair.

These have painful bites. Handling them is not recommended.

They eat other insects smaller than them (or nearly as large). A little humidity is recommended for them through a slightly moist substrate. If you see eggs, they might dry out if not offered some ambient humidity. This is a desert species but their emergence coincides with monsoon rains.

$6 each. Remaining life span unknown. Very rarely offered. Be the first we know of in the hobby to breed them!
