Anuroctonus Swollenstinger Scorpion

Description

Anuroctonus species are the swollenstinger scorpions. Full disclosure…I’m not sure if the ones we have are A. pococki or A. phaiodactylus.

See photos on Bugguide.Net. This is due to the enlarged (fat) “stinger” (telson) present on males of the species. I like their two tone coloration of yellowish and browns.

Large specimens available, about 2 inches long. $18 ea, unsexed only.

(Note: photo on this page is, I believe, an A. pococki photo I took years ago and looks less like the ones we are offering currently with it’s orange tones.)
