Orthoporus ornatus Desert Millipede Small

Description

Orthoporus ornatus desert millipedes grow to six inches. This darker, unbanded color form tends to occur in the Sonoran Desert and emerges during the desert monsoon rains. They tolerate dry conditions rather well.

This species tends to feed more on fruits and vegetables than leaf litter.
