Orange spotted Corsair

Description

The genus Rasahus includes a handful of native US assassin bugs that measure just under an inch in length. The species I tend to have access to originates in Arizona and is pictured on this page. These are uncommonly offered, but not too uncommon in the field at lights at night or on flowers by day.

One large nymph available. It measure about 1/2 inch while adults reach about 3/4 inches. Please note the bite from these is painful. These predators use the venom in their rostrums to take down their prey.
