Description

Anadenobolus monilicornis, the bumblebee millipede, is a naturalized US species. It was introduced by the ornamental plant industry from South America accidentally but is not considered to be invasive. This tropical species does not do well below 72 F. Adults continue to grow and molt after sexual maturity at around 1.3 inches, reaching a maximum length of about 2.25 inches. Present specimens measure 1 to 2 inches and are available unsexed for $6 each.

These are a gorgeous but not very hardy millipede species. They are very slow moving and I would recommend you get at least a few of them if you want to have some around for a while. They can be very prolific, given proper care.

Such beautiful, colorful little millipedes! The patterning is gorgeous. The millipedes arrived in perfect condition, and soon after arrival
I observed them munching on some lettuce.

Mine came in perfect condition. They are absolutely beautiful. My lil guy is small, but has a lot of space to grow in. Very calm personality and loves to eat. So glad I was able to snag this guy.
