Description

These Argoporis red legged teneb beetles are a nice addition to communal desert beetle tanks with their two-tone coloration and medium-small stature. See photos at Bugguide.net.

They feed well on little bits of fruit and vegetable. We feed them primarily with fish food pellets. They’ll also scavenge other dead insects.

Interesting little desert Teneb, about the size of a mealworm beetle. The one I purchased tends to be very active and wanders frequently, which is in stark contrast to Apsena, which are constantly hiding. Thus far, it has been very easy to keep. I recommend it if you’re looking for a nice, small, decorative Teneb

A very pleasant surprise in my order, and a nice little beetle for my group enclosure. He’s much smaller than his tank mates but isn’t fearful. Adorable little guy. Excellent packing and shipping.

These little guys are small but STRONG! 💪🐞 The first day introducing them to my tank, one of these was quick to scale the huge pyramid hide, which really surprised me because the steps are pretty high in comparison to them.

They scale rocky and uneven surfaces quicker than some of my BFDB too, so don’t be fooled by their small size! Super grateful that Peter included a friend for the one I bought, because they usually hangout in the food bowl together. :’)

I really loved these beetles. They arrived active and are eating jellies. A nice addittion to any communal desert tank as they are different from the Eleodes!
