Description
The Paraphidippus basalis Agave Jumping Spider is a large species that rivals regal jumping spiders in size as adults, but lives among agaves and similarly shaped plants in the Arizona Sky Islands. As they grow, a deep yellow-orange to red-orange band develops on their abdomen. They also have white speckles on their abdomens. This is a fast species compared with regals and other commonly available jumping spiders.
Currently available as 5th or so instar spiderlings at $24.99 each. Unsexed only. Currently feeding on D. hydei fruit flies. Almost ready for house flies.
