Orthoporus ornatus Desert Millipedes

(3 customer reviews)

$7.00

Description

Orthoporus ornatus desert millipedes grow to six inches. This darker, unbanded color form tends to occur in the Sonoran Desert and emerges during the desert monsoon rains. They tolerate dry conditions rather well. Fruits or vegetables, in addition to partially wetting down their substrate every few days, help to hydrate them.

We currently offer them on sale at around 4 inches for $7 each.

Millipedes require a substrate of mixed organic matter (see related products, below).

Larger than expected, these millipedes have personality! One of them “ran” very fast and the other kept trying to bite everything (painless, obviously.) I loved them!

Didn’t expect him to be this big. He’s a very healthy and curious boy so far. Shipping process and communication was great also!

Definitely one of my favorites. These guys are so quirky and cool. He came in great shape and speedy delivery. Will be coming here for all my millipede needs. His name is Bruce.
