Description
The Rhantus gutticollis diving beetle is slightly smaller than sunburst diving beetle (see related products below). Coloration in the species ranges from black to gold and this listing is for BLACK specimens. The pronotum on many of them contain a series of dark dots on a usually gold background and the eyes are often masked with black was well.
We keep them communally with other diving beetles. They will group feed on dead insects, like roaches or crickets or house or fruit flies that are dropped onto the surface of the water. We also drop fish food pellets in with them (see related products, below).
