Tiger Silkworms Bombyx mori

Description

Tiger Silkworms are Bombyx mori, but we call them tigers because the larvae are striped. Another key difference is that their cocoons are yellow instead of white. The caterpillars are easy to culture on mulberry leaves or media which can be purchased from biological supply companies. The larvae will remain on a flat surface and hardly move at all, while branches will encourage them to climb in the enclosure.
