Description
Macrolenostreptus brachycerus (AKA Spirostreptus brachycerus) is the Earthworm Millipede. Babies are white until they reach about two inches, when they turn pink. At maturity they reach just under four inches and are quite active. Adults are pinkish with a slight translucent oil-in-puddle/pearlescent sheen. This species is rare in the hobby and lives 10-15+ years. Like no other captive species, these are able to reproduce parthenogenetically!
Currently available as approximately 1.5 inch immatures.
Millipedes require a substrate of mixed organic matter (see related products, below).
