Peppered Roach Archimandrita tessellata

Description

The Peppered Roach Archimandrita tessellata is one of the best species for display and handling. Unlike many of the Blaberus species that are difficult to hold, these move more slowly and are less likely to scamper away during handling. They are one of the largest species in the hobby, both in length and especially in weight. Their attractive orangey-brown wings are often “peppered” with black speckles.

Roaches love jelly products which are healthy, clean, don’t spoil and don’t attract pests or mold like rotting fruit sometimes does, particularly during warmer months of the year.
