Paeromopus angusticeps Kingsnake Millipede

Paeromopus angusticeps is a snake millipede (julid) of impressive proportions! These California millipedes are giants among US species and measure at 5+ inches at maturity. Truth is, we aren’t even really sure. They are new for us too!

Currently available at around 3 to 5 inches. $14 each, unsexed. One per customer at this time, sorry.

Coloration of kingsnake millipedes alternates between shades of orange and black. They are one of the biggest and prettiest US millipedes, and unquestionably a desirable addition to any millipede enthusiast’s collection, and especially if you feel like you’ve seen all the hobby has to offer. Something new AND awesome, finally!

Update 4/30: I got the following email from somebody at a nature center…

I saw you had a listing for Paeromopus millipedes and we have been keeping one for about a year. She is currently 5.5″ long. I do not know if this is information that you would want to pass on to any of your customers, but we have had great success keeping our girl at temperatures between 66-73 and with a humidity of 50-70. I found some excellent information about their diet and they are fungus and fruit eaters. Ours eats mushrooms and blackberries. Does not eat leaf litter or substrate that we can see.
