Description
Centrobolus splendidus is the Mozambique Red Fire Millipede. These have been captive-bred in the US for many years but they rarely make it into the mainstream. Specimens measure about 1/2 of an inch and reach an ultimate length of about 2.5 inches. Although they’re small they breed very well and are one of the prettiest species in the history of the millipede hobby with their gorgeous red and black, glossy appearance.
May contact you if necessary to select a safe shipping date if you live in a place with sub-freezing temps at night.
These millipedes require a substrate of mixed organic matter as offered in the related products, below. Humidity is important and room temperature is highly recommended for this species. No extra heat!
