Eleodes cordata

Description

No, Eleodes cordata isn’t the latest drink from Starbucks. It’s the latest desert beetle we’ve added to the site, though!

This species reminds me a lot of Blapylis spp. They are medium-small in size but very textured, which offsets them very nicely with smoother species in the communal desert beetle tank.

We feed them fish food pellets, carrot and apple. They aren’t picky. Size varies a little bit, but is generally around half an inch.

$5 each. Limit one per customer at this time. We do hope to establish better sourcing for these and will upload a photo to the site soon.
