Dried Leaves for Aquatic Tanks
$2.99
Description
One sandwich leaf bag of naturally fallen, brown, dried leaves. Bags consist of a variety of leaves and may include oak, sycamore, and mulberry leaves, willow, cottonwood, etc. There is variation from bag to bag.
These leaves are dried and can be added into your aquarium to provide that critical foundation that is the humus layer in freshwater systems. Not only does every organism in the tank benefit by the presence of these leaves through the microfauna that breaks them down, but the leaves help to provide shelter for small invertebrates that you want to be breeding in your tanks for the larger “pets” that often feed on them or their remains.
I’ll say it again. Decaying humus is the most important element in the freshwater aquatic system.
