Description
The Coelocnemis magna Monkey Teneb is a large tenebrionidae family desert beetle that occurs on the Pacific Coast and other western states to Colorado.
They have long legs and seem to be semi-arboreal. They remind me a little bit of the old barrel of monkeys game that your parents’ parents played with when they were kids.
$6 each. Limit one per customer, sorry. We do hope to establish better sourcing for these at some point. (We do often offer a sister species of the monkey teneb through another listing.)
One of the diagnostic features of the genus are golden hairs that line the undersides of the lower portions of their legs.
