Description
Atopetholidae is a southwest family of millipedes that seldom if ever makes it into the pet millipede hobby. I’m guessing they only reach about 2 inches and are currently in the neighborhood of about 1+ inches, give or take. They are in the order Spirobolida, like Narceus and Chicobolus ivory millipedes. Like other spirobolids, they get pleasantly plump in relation to their length. Coloration has a blackish slate or chalkboard quality to it, although they are semi-gloss.
They feed on their substrate, leaves and decaying wood primarily (see related products below).
