Description

Eublaberus serranus is the Pantanal Cockroach, captive bred but native to the “Pantanal” wetland area of Brazil. They set themselves apart from the several other Eublaberus spp. in the hobby with their black pronotum, outlined by a cream colored perimeter. Two distinctive gold dots (the “headlamps”) occur on the pronotum in some individuals. They reach about an inch and a half at maturity. Nymphs are glossy and very dark brown. This species is very hardy and produces a lot of young. They are relatives of the popular orange head roaches.

The nymphs of this species prefer to burrow into substrate.

Small nymphs $2 each.
