Florida Skunk Roach

Description

The Florida Skunk Roach, Eurycotis floridana, is underappreciated in the pet hobby. They are medium sized with a deep maroon coloration with a surprising translucence in certain light. They are an egg-laying species. The oothecae are large at about 3/4 inches, rounded and thick. They do not burrow at any stage of the life cycle, though egg cases are deposited in the substrate or sometimes partially encased with soil.

Young nymphs available at $3 each. Grow quickly.

Roaches love jelly products which are healthy, clean, don’t spoil and don’t attract pests or mold like rotting fruit sometimes does, particulary during warmer months of the year. I also offer mine fish food pellets in small amounts for protein and other nutrients. These small pellets disappear quickly and prevent attraction of mites, etc. Subtrate in your roach tank provides both nutrition and humidity for your pets.
