Description

Philoscia muscorum are called fast isopods because they move considerably faster than the more familiar terrestrial types. They are typically found on moss in moist conditions but seem to do okay in captivity in drier settings too. They have very pretty coloration up close. See more info. and photos at Bugguide.Net.
