Dermestid Beetles

Description

Dermestid beetles are commonly used by folks in the taxidermy hobbies to remove the decaying flesh from skeletons, skulls, etc. Dermestes lardarius are huge for dermestids, measuring about 1/3 of an inch. Dog food will sustain them in lean times, though a hot dog or some equivalent meat product should be offered from time to time.
