Cryptic Mantis Sibylla pretiosa

Description

The Cryptic Mantis Sibylla pretiosa has an incredibly unusual morphology. Their body lines are difficult to make out against a background of sticks and foliage. Their small abdomens sit atop a very long set of spindly legs and their long necks are topped with a heart-shaped crown. It’s hard to believe that nature has contrived such an odd mantis.

Available as L3 nymphs. They have shed their skin twice and are feeding on D. hydei fruit flies or house flies.
