AGB African Giant Black Millipede

Approximately 8 inch specimen.

African Giant Black millipedes Archispirostreptus gigas are also known as AGB millipedes. They are the largest species in the world. These command high, but deserved, prices. The species often lives well over ten years. Males are considered to be very rare in the hobby.

Millipedes require a substrate of mixed organic matter (see related products, below).

The video below was taken under infrared light and depicts the animal reacting to the small mites that are common on wild caught specimens of this species. (Captive bred ones often don’t have these mites.)
