Look and you will find an undiscovered world in your own backyard. I can find an insect or spider or other bugs I've never seen before almost every time I go outdoors. So can you! The world is a very interesting place where as few as 10% of organisms are even named. Behaviors specific to each species and interactions among various organisms within environments form ecosystems more complex than the sum total of all human imagination. Nature is a perfect system where even synthetic materials are eventually reabsorbed.

Weather/shipping Update 1/23/26: Heat packs included on all shipments, as needed, and at no extra cost but this week is historically very cold through much of the country including, unfortunately, the Fedex super hub transfer city of Memphis, TN where all air packages including overnight and 2 day shipments, pass through. It's -3 on Monday night, for example and we've never seen that before. For this reason, we won't be shipping any living orders this week (outside of Arizona with the exception maybe of feeder fly pupae). It's too risky, even with heat packs. And it's not just that. Infrastructure and logistics break down when it gets unusually cold and airports shut down or have problems with planes leaving on time and every complication can cause a cascading set of failures. All that said, you are welcome to place your order early to secure the low inventory things on the site that you don't want to miss out on, but we'll be sending each person that orders an email to let them know that we won't be able to ship this week, due to weather. Please contact us if you have any questions about that. Thank you!
