Description
The Desert Hairy Scorpion Hadrurus arizonensis is the largest US species. Venom is considered relatively mild, similar in pain to that of a bee sting. Buyer beware. This is an aggressive species and will sting if provoked (making feeding time very entertaining, of course).
Smallish specimen about 1 inch. We rarely offer specimens this small/young.
It’s worth noting that a great clean up crew for desert hairy scorpions is the blue death feigning beetle. Lots of keepers keep these two species together in communal cages, and the two species are sometimes found beneath the same rocks in nature.
Also, this is one of the more sensitive shipping species on the site. Overnight shipping is highly recommended.
