Description

The Black Hairy Scorpion Hadrurus spadix is cousin to the much more common desert hairy, H. arizonensis. They have pale, translucent yellow legs and dark gray to black bodies, sometimes with a little tint of brown. Photos of black hairy scorpions can be found here on Bugguide.

Venom is considered relatively mild, similar in pain to that of a bee sting. Buyer beware. This is an aggressive species and will sting if provoked.

Medium to medium-large specimens at $25 each. Unsexed only.
