Warty (PSG 17)...unidentified 

    This is neat phasmid for the simple fact that it is from Jamaica.  It gets its name from the small, random wart-like bumps on its body.  The ova are very shiny, like glass, when they are very dry.  The ova must be kept very humid, I learned, when so few of mine hatched.  My nymphs never made it to the 2nd-instar.  I would like to try this species again someday!
